Public Safety Overview
Claremore is made safe by the efforts of more than forty police officers and forty firefighters, as well as several emergency care providers, each ready to deal with emergency situations that may arise.

Ambulance
Pafford EMS provides regional ambulance service for area residents. Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) ambulances are staffed with at least one advanced life support specialist and one Emergency Medical Technician to respond to each call. Pafford EMS
Police
Claremore’s violent crime rate is nearly half that of the national average (.64) and the consistent proactive police department ensures that residents enjoy a safe community. The Claremore Police Department currently has 40 sworn officers. With one officer for every 500 citizens, Claremore consistently stays below the national average statistics for all violent crimes. In 2004, the Claremore Police Department became one of the six municipal police agencies in Oklahoma to earn “accreditation” status by the Oklahoma Association of Chief’s of Police. Fire
The Claremore Fire Department, with 40 employees, is fully equipped to serve and protect the citizens of Claremore. All of the Firefighters are trained as First Responders and are ready to respond to calls around the clock 365 days a year. Available services include a Level A Hazardous Materials Response Team, and a variety of emergency rescue and response services. Claremore Fire Department
Emergency Medical Treatment
The Emergency Care Center at Claremore Regional Hospital is the largest trauma center within a 20-mile radius of Claremore. The Emergency Care Center offers the highest level of medical services 24-hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, from critical to minor injuries. Specialized trained emergency teams provide treatment ranging from rapid diagnosis and assessment to stabilization and monitoring. The Emergency Care Center offers a broad range of support services including laboratory, x-ray, ambulance and air ambulance services.
