Recreation

Family activities are important to the residents of Claremore and this value is reflected in an extensive park system. There are 16 parks within Claremore, including five sports complexes with basketball and tennis courts, soccer, baseball and softball fields and walking trails.  Two public golf courses and the PRCA rodeo grounds offer additional activities. The citizens of Claremore have access to facilities for archery, shooting, bowling, and roller skating. In addition, Claremore has a Community Recreation Center, a Super Recreation Center and Exposition Hall complex that includes an RV park and horse arena.

Claremore Super Recreation

The Claremore Super Recreation Center was completed in 1999 and provides an 8,000 square foot exercise and weight room, an eight-lane competitive swimming pool, as well as a walking and jogging track and basketball, tennis and racquetball courts.  The Recreation Center also offers childcare and youth summer camps.  Claremore Recreation Center

Claremore Lake

Claremore Lake, part of the park system, offers fishing, boating and picnic opportunities.  The lake features 500 surface acres for boating and great bass fishing.  There are boat ramps, courtesy dock and fishing piers.  Enhancing the lake is a 60 acre park with scenic shaded picnic areas, picnic shelters, sand volleyball courts and a scenic walking path.  Claremore Lake

Rogers University Conservation Reserve

Rogers University Conservation Education Reserve, a 120-acre natural resource conservation education facility, sits adjacent to the main campus of Rogers State University.  Bird watching, wildlife observation, outdoor photography, walking trails, picnicking, and fishing are available on the grounds.  Rogers University Conservation Reserve
