Claremore is fully equipped to meet the needs of a growing city. The City of Claremore provides reliable electric service for business and residential customers. Water resources for the area are provided by Claremore Lake and Lake Oologah. Natural gas service is readily available through Oklahoma Natural Gas.

Claremore Water

Claremore uses surface water from both the Claremore Lake and the Oolagah Lake. A Multistage Media Three-Layer Filtering process ensures that only the cleanest water comes from the Water Filter Plant. All water and sewer lines up to and including the meter are maintained by City personnel.

Claremore Water Reclamation

Claremore has a trickling filter system treatment. The city’s sewage treatment system is currently operating at approximately 90% of capacity. A brand new state-of-the-art facility is in the works currently and is scheduled to be completed by spring of 2011. This new plant will drastically increase the capacity of Claremore’s system.

City of Claremore: Electric

Claremore Electric is an award winning electricity provider that serves City residents with a 13.2 kV
system with 4 substations. Grand River Dam Authority is the wholesale provider of electricity to the City’s distribution system that consists of 4 substations each rated at 28 MW capacity.

In 2005, Claremore Electric received an award from Municipal Electric Systems of Oklahoma for maintaining constant electric power to it’s customers for 99.9% of the year.
